The ground floor bathroom has a heated towel rail for drying boots etc after washing. There is an outdoor hose for washing down muddy items. There are hooks in the exterior covered passage. There is a boot rack in the house and hooks for hanging coats in the cupboard under the stairs by kitchen. There is a washing machine and tumble dryer plus a hanging rack in cupboard under stairs. There is a covered outdoor safe passage to store bikes – there is a locked garden gate so bikes are secure and undercover overnight. Please do not bring bikes into the main house. There is washing machine and tumble dryer for all kit and a hanging dryer under stairs in cupboard with hangers. There is a heated towel rail for kit. Cycling routes can be found in the house handbook and on our website. There is a first aid kit on site. We provide a puncture repair kit on site but do advise you bring your own. Two dogs are welcome, by arrangement, no more than knee height tall and at £40 per dog per visit. They may stay with their own bedding and travelling cage. They must be left in their cage if being left in the cottage, not left to roam the house. They are not allowed upstairs or on the sofas. All mess must be picked up and disposed of properly in the grey rubbish bins. There will be a charge for any mess or damage caused by dogs and the deposit will be taken in full if the house is left in an un-satisfactory manner.  If any items have to be replaced, because of the dogs behaviour, these will be charged in full against the deposit plus an administration fee of £25. Any dog mess must be picked up from the garden and disposed of – failure to do this will result in an extra cleaning charge of £20. We expect you to bring your own dog poo bags and beds. We provide a large water bowl and two dog food bowls. There is a hose and bucket in the garden for washing down the dogs. All dog foods/poo bags can be bought at the Co-Op shop up the hill on Brown’s Lane. Dogs can be walked behind the Co-Op on the 9 Acres Recreation Ground which is 1 minute’s walk away. There is a cash ATM dispenser machine in the Co-Op shop just 100 metres from the house open 7 am to 10pm seven days a week. The local Doctor surgery is next to the Co-Op The local Vet surgery is next to the Co-Op. Hospitals are in Chipping Norton, Witney and Oxford – all within 30 minutes drive. There are 4 very well maintained tennis courts next door behind the Co-op and coaching can be arranged with John the coach on ‭+44 (0)7825 381725‬.

You can get to Charlbury mainline GWR station from London Paddington, Reading, Oxford and it is just .4 of a mile, so 1 km walk to the cottage from the station, up the hill, right onto Market Street and then left at the Bull Inn, opposite Rose and Crown, up Brown’s Lane and we are first house on the left, past tall wall, right opposite the rear car park of The Bull Inn. If you don’t want to walk, call a taxi in advance of your arrival as there is no rank and they will meet you.
